Year 8 work - Revision. They have a plan and can just carry on with their revision programme.

For those stuck at home  BBC Bitesize Website is a good place to look for help on many topics.

Year 7 work - BBC bitesize Website / Geography / Agriculture. Revise the three topic areas and do all the tests.

History

Year 8 – CE classes are doing a project on life, career and murder of Thomas Becket.  They should all have made a start by now and have a list of questions to research etc.  It then needs to be written up on a computer as a comprehensive project with pictures etc.

8D

Do the test essay as planned in class. They have the title. They should not use books/files!  They need two pieces of paper and can get straight on with it.  The Sevenoaks candidates have 20 mins. The rest 30 mins.

For those at home they should (if they have their files) select an essay off their holiday work essay sheets and do it timed.

8P - Finish and print off Becket project IN COLOUR. You should aim to have this in for me by tomorrow.

When you have finished you should do the following:

Using the internet to produce a timeline for the main events in the life of Richard 1, the Lionheart.

They should include all the main dates in his life from birth to death, with a brief comment for each main event.

e.g.  1199        Richard attacked castle of Chalus

                        Killed by cross bow.

Year 7 – CE classes have a project on battle of Naseby.

7L and 7R

Start working on the Battle of Naseby on a computer.

Use the same questions as you answered for Edgehill and use them for Naseby.

7G could research Charles 1’s personal rule from 1629 – 1640.

Year 6 – Mary 1 (1553-1558) My class 6C is about to start this topic. They could all produce a fact sheet on the computers about Mary’s reign and the various burnings etc.

6M - Read the chapter on Mary I in the purple books (in EYBs room/research online if at home).

Use a computer and produce a simple time line of the key events in her life.

They should go down the page, listing the main dates and a brief comment to go with them.  Starting with her birth and going to her death.

e.g. 1553        Mary marched to London.

                      Mary crowned queen.

                      Northumberland executed.
